Decide if you want to start an individual plan or a professional selling plan. The main difference is cost;

• The Individual selling plan requires no upfront charges, but charges an extra $.99 fee on every item sold in addition to the referral and fulfillment fees.*

• The Professional selling plan is $39.99 a month with no additional fee per sale, only the referral and fulfillment fees.

*The Individual plan can not be set up with an LLC or create custom shipping templates for FBM.

Bottom line, if you're serious about selling on Amazon and plan to sell more than 40 items a month, sign up for the Professional Plan. If you need a month or two of looking around and researching, sign up for the Individual plan and upgrade it when you're ready to.

You will then follow the prompts in creating your account, you will need to enter all information it asks of you. This information will vary on whether you are opening the account as an LLC or as a Sole Proprietor. Make sure all your information matches up.

• Name and Address (Government Issued ID)

• Telephone Number (Amazon may verify by calling or texting)

• Bank Account - Deposit Method

• Credit Card

• Tax Method (SSN, Tax ID, EIN)

• Display Name

• Utility Statement in your name and address*

• Bank Statement in your name and address*

After all items are submitted there are two types of verification they may require you to do.

1. You may need to wait for a postcard verification, it will arrive by UPS within a few days and you will enter the unique code once received.

2. You may need to do a video call with an Amazon representative, this is not an interview or anything intimidating you need to prepare for. They are only verifying you and your documents and the whole call usually takes less than 5 minutes.
